Words I never said.

Wow. I've been a fan of Lupe's for a while now, but lost a lot of interest in rap recently. But WOW. Watch this video and you'll see why I'm pretty fucking ecstatic right now. Lupe's lyrics have always been conscious. But in this track, he's bringing a lot of attention to some massively important issues. His verse regarding building seven made my jaw drop instantly. This is going to be an insanely controversial record that is sure to stir the pot. Hopefully the shit boils over and brings a whole lot more attention to these issues.

Recently, Eric Dubay over at has recently started a very similar project to what aMuseMe represents. A completely user generated independent media consortium, where anyone with a knack for art, journalism, film, or creativity can have their work broadcast across the interwebs. They can describe much better than I ever could, so here's what they have to say about the project:

Hello, this is Eric Dubay from andEric's Esoterics introducing, a new venture my friends and I have undertaken in the spirit of free speech and independent thought.  Thanks to a generous contribution I was given this domain and would like to make the best use of it possible.  In the interest of giving a louder voice to the masses of independent writers, researchers, musicians, artists, and filmmakers out there, is here to publish and help promote your original articles, artwork, music and videos to a wider internet audience.

I have been creating blogs and websites for half my life and have found scores of effective ways to promote and drive traffic via social networking, search engines, blog catalogs etc. and would like to use that knowledge to help promote you!  All original writing, art, music, or film of any type/topic that you would like to share with the internet at large, is here to help build you a bigger soapbox.  Even if your original media is already posted elsewhere on the web (i.e. your blog, website, video channel etc.) send it to and we will help spread your work to a much broader audience of other independent artists and free thinkers. and together we will build an archive of truly free and independent media as well as a community of like-minded writers and artists.  Peace.

The Case for ReWilding- A Love Police Special

Such an amazing little film that charlie of the love police put together. Definitely some moving, and thought provoking, shit. The inclusion of some chillin dubstep in his videos continues to delight me :) Enjoy.

My interview with Brian Haw!

While a buddy and myself were traveling across Europe this summer/fall, we came across Brian Haw whilst visiting jolly old'. He was chillin across the street from parliament, as he usually is, and I had my camcorder. Here is the result...
Sorry about the conversation in the background and the shit video quality. A new friendship was forming behind the camera, so that explains the voices. As for the video, my memory stick was corrupted shortly after the interview. So with some impromptu recovery and editing, this is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy!!
Update: Brian was flown out of London on the first of January for cancer treatment. Send some positive energy and prayers to Brian and his family! :)

Live it!

What do we really know? Over the past few weeks, everything has seemed to change. Granny died, and I miss her like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve fallen back into a state of negativity, but negativity based upon a mindset that has taken over my psyche once before. If one’s perception shapes their reality, then the experiences that shape your perception, essentially create your reality. Because what do we really know? Not much, beyond what we think we know.  Spirituality has become a risky business these days. Traditional spiritualism will be all but abandoned with the passing of our parent’s generation. Certain elements will survive, as they should. But given the corruption apparent in today’s religious institutions, the fallacy of many central doctrines, and an unnerving promotion of patriarchy, subordination, and docility, I won’t be sad to see these institutions fail. Don’t get me wrong, Jesus was a pretty rad guy. I’d be hard pressed to find an overarching flaw in his teachings. There really isn’t one. The evangelical on TV trying to tell you that Jesus supports the invasion of Iraq, he might be a little misguided and a little self-serving. Can’t trust a dude like that, as people are beginning to realize. Millions are now turning to the internet for answers, and some have found a spiritual answer to everything that is wrong with the world. The concept, not as superficial as it may seem to some, has taken root in humanity’s collective unconscious. We are each a subjective expression of infinite consciousness.  Compassion, empathy, understanding, truth, dissent, common sense: values that I’d have a hard time not promoting.  Perhaps it is the human answer to the corporate takeover of the planet. Or maybe a bunch of bullshit put out there to prep you for that damned new age religion, ushering tyrannical world dictatorship onto the stage. You can conceptualize and over-analyze a situation all you want. Yet, from what I can tell, perception is what either inhibits or stifles discovery of the truth. But what is truth, other than subjective understanding based upon an individuals perception of what is and what isn’t real. What a fun, frustrating, fucked up ride this is. Remember, your state of mind is everything. Negativity spreads like a virus, is self perpetuating, and hard as fuck to snap out of. But having experienced the highs and lows, it’s easy to see that focusing on anything other than positive energy is a waste of time. Don’t think I’m saying that diagnosing and fighting the many injustices in our world is pointless or isn’t worthwhile. I’ll extend a big FUCK YOU your way. It’s simply a choice you have to make. Just be happy when you’re happy, sad when you’re sad, and take what you can from the experience. We’re having a human experience for a reason. So live it, bra!
